oil painting
I thought I would experiment with using the cold wax medium mixed with oil paint a little more freely – this is the result. It’s 40 x 40 cm on canvas. I love the way the tiger just emerged from the coloured background and took on an energy of its own. I’d be interested in your views?
Two years have passed since I lost my Mum, who reached the grand old age of 100. I thought I would do her portrait from her earlier days – a day I remember well and can relive the joy of the moment out on the river.
It’s oil on canvas board, 18 x 24 cm, and definitely not for sale!!
I do so enjoy painting the big cats – this one is small – 21 x 30 cm on canvas board, but I love the way he is looking up – maybe for inspiration!
Latest pictures – small ones. The first is a friend’s cat called Pebbles. This is the only place I am posting it at the moment as my friend hasn’t seen it yet! The second is a lion – just one of many I hope to undertake going forward.
I hope someone out there has some useful comments/constructive criticism for me – it all helps me progress.
