Elephant attack!

This elephant caught my attention recently and demanded to be painted. He has taken me a long time to complete, not his fault, but due to the unusually hot weather we have to contend with at the moment! It’s not often you find your oil paints drying out before you get to use them! I hope you like him and give him a thumbs up! He is painted on board, 30 x 40 cm.

Still with Limited Resources!

The big cats are on canvas, 50 x 70 cm, and the abstract is on board, 30 x 40 cm. Both are mixed media and experimental!

I am undecided on my next topic (nothing new there really) but am open to suggestions if anyone has any bright ideas?! I suspect there are thousands of inspired people out there just waiting to set me a challenge! Be happy!

Big Cats on canvas, 50 x 70 cm, mixed media.

Limited resources.

These two pictures are both in oil paint but on loose canvas sheets, roughly 30 x 40 cm.  I have now run out of canvas of any description and I shall be hunting around for some boards to use until I can acquire some more canvas!  I hope you like these two characters.  Staying at home due to Covid 19 has its benefits and its downsides!  Running out of materials is a definite downside for me. but having time to paint is very welcome!

Lion Family

A good friend of mine sent me a black and white picture of lions and asked me to paint them – this is the result.  It’s painted in oils on 60 x 40 cm board.  I had to use board as I have been unable to find anywhere open to buy canvas from during this current phase of lock-down and I had quite a baptism of fire learning how to paint on board as it reacts so differently from canvas!  My friend has expressed satisfaction and superlatives over the result so I am more than happy!!  Let me know your views?
