Well, week two of lock down, and I have taken the opportunity to do a couple of studies. The tiger resting is naturally one of my favourite creatures but the eagle is a subject I haven’t tackled before. Both were thoroughly enjoyable to do. The Tiger is only a small canvas, 20 x 20 cm. The Eagle is 30 x 40 cm canvas board. Both are painted in oil paint.

Lions and more lions!
I just love lions. They are such wonderful creatures and I treasure their beauty and power. This one was created a couple of weeks ago at my local art group and finalised today although I enjoyed painting it so much that I may play with it a while longer!
It’s oil paint on canvas, 30 x 40 cm. I hope you can feel the joy of the paint!!

Gosh, busy times!
I have had a wonderful start to 2020 and been working on a project for my own home. It has taken a lot of time and I have therefore not been “getting on” with my studio work!
Neglected as my studio has been, I have managed to create this picture just recently. This is oil on canvas board, 30 x 30 cm. It was so enjoyable to do after such an extensive period working on another work, and I am looking forward to starting my next studio work shortly.

Looking forward to a New Year
Another year nearly over and it’s been a difficult one in so many ways! Here we are though, approaching another New Year, and hoping it will be so much more rewarding than the year on it’s way out!
I have been working on the paintings below, both oil on canvas board, as a commission. They were ready in time! I hope you like them as much as I enjoyed painting them.
Wishing everyone a very happy New Year bringing all you have hoped for along the way.
2019 selection of pictures
Well 2019 has been a strange year for me. I’ve loved doing my paintings and below are a few of this year’s special memories, fitted in despite a full domestic agenda this year! I’m hoping 2020 will help me develop more and I will find extra time to devote to my painting experiments.
Here is wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. Keep painting!!
