A cute lion cub which a good friend saw a picture of and suggested I paint it!  So this is my version of it, just for fun.  It’s painted in oil on a square canvas board, 30×30 cm.  The photo here doesn’t do justice to the real thing, as the eyes are much more captivating on the real deal – but it gives you an idea!   Enjoy!

Another Lion!

This one is a little bigger than I usually attempt.  It’s 50 x 70 cm and is painted with oil and cold wax on canvas.  It took a little longer than I expected, but I am pleased with the result – I hope you like it!

Thought I would follow the trend I have noticed around me and have a go at a Calf – great fun – quick painting!  Size 24 x 30 cm, oil on canvas board.  Am attempting a rather difficult double portrait at the moment… it’s taking some time!  A bit of light relief with the calf was a necessary distraction and “loosening up” exercise.  Talk soon.

After a few weeks of being particularly under the weather, I am at last back at my painting:  two pictures – one lion and one tiger – both oil paint on canvas board.
