Here’s a few of the pictures I have been working on lately. Four pictures in watercolours, and one in oils (it’s still a bit chilly in my studio for working in oils!).

Lynx – in watercolour.
Following on from the birds I have been doing I have decided to have a go at my favourite subject – animals! Here are some attempts at the rare Lynx. Being such a novice at watercolour, these were a challenge! Enjoy.
Kingfishers.
Following on from the Robins, here are a few Kingfishers to peruse. Temperatures are still too low for me to return to my studio and my oil paints, but these watercolour paintings are enjoyable to do and I am learning a lot! Happy New Year to everyone! Let’s enjoy a bit of colour!
Robins – in watercolour.
It has been too cold for me to work in my usual place with my usual materials of oil paints and mixed media. To keep warm and to keep busy I have been trying a new medium – watercolours – and, because it’s been the run up to Christmas, I thought I would attempt a few robins! I hope you like them. Next year I hope to make some of them into greeting cards.
