This one took a long time – or so it seemed to me! It’s painted in oils on a 40 x 50 cm canvas. This is my first attempt at painting an Ocelot and it took me forever to find some suitable reference photos! I’m pleased with it, and I think it’s “done”. Another one to chalk up to experience!
This latest picture is painted with brushes in oils on 50 x 60 cm canvas. Inspired by a visit from my daughter, and delayed by her staying with me, this is how it turned out! I have to say it was lovely to have such a delightful distraction from my art! I hope you like it.
Now this one is different for me! This is my first serious attempt at a horse, and also at using the palette knife predominently, although brushes were used too! It’s painted in oils on a 40 x 50 cm canvas.
I had a lot of fun with this… I hope you enjoy the result!
I have been concentrating on yet more animals as they are definitely creative wonders of the world and so diverse, and I love depicting them in paint.
The white tigers are painted in oils on a 50 x 70 cm canvas, and the “angry cat” is painted in oils with some cold wax on a 25 x 30 cm canvas.
I hope you like them!
Here’s a few of the pictures I have been working on lately. Four pictures in watercolours, and one in oils (it’s still a bit chilly in my studio for working in oils!).
