oil painting
I am so enjoying painting the variety of dogs there are that I seem to have moved away from my favourite subject of big cats (lions, tigers, etc), Do not fret though, I am sure my love of the wild animals will bring me back to the gorgeous big cats again before too long – just have to get the dogs out of my system first!
Both painted in oils, one on 25×30 canvas, and the other on 21×27.9 canvas! (Why do they have such odd sizes?!) I hope you enjoy them.
I so enjoyed painting the last two pictures that I thought I would carry on with the dog theme! These two speak for themselves! Both are mixed media on 30 x 25 cm canvasses.
Completed this week, these two pictures of dogs. Both pictures were created in mixed media (acrylic, watercolour pens, and oils). The two dogs together are on a 40×40 cm canvas and the Border Collie on a 30×30 canvas. I enjoyed them both in different ways and I hope you do too! It is always a joy to see someone happy!

This lovely chappie is a much loved pet. He is owned by the child of a close friend and I wanted to make a great likeness of him for them both.

I spent some time doing this one as this dog is really special to me! My boy Bo is four now and such a character! No doubt you too have an animal that is special to you. There can be such joy to be found in a good relationship with a pet, don’t you think?
