I can hear you saying it – tigers again!! I can’t help myself. This one looks like he is just enjoying a little chilling out before starting his daily routine!
He’s painted in oils, on canvas board which is 40 x 50 cm in size.
Time to join him in relaxing now I think, while I contemplate my next project. I hope you like him.

He took my eye as he displays such lovely colours and colour combinations. I wonder what he is thinking about! I hope you like him.

I have been concentrating on yet more animals as they are definitely creative wonders of the world and so diverse, and I love depicting them in paint.
The white tigers are painted in oils on a 50 x 70 cm canvas, and the “angry cat” is painted in oils with some cold wax on a 25 x 30 cm canvas.

I was so sad to hear that the hippos are becoming an endangered species. This picture is my tribute to these magnificent creatures. It’s oil paint on 50 x 60 cm canvas.
Hippos are being pushed towards extinction by an insatiable demand for their long ivory canine teeth. Unregulated hunting for their meat, skin, and teeth, combined with shrinking habitats and increased hippo-human conflict have lead to a decline in populations across Africa. The primary threat to both hippopotamus species (common hippo and the pygmy hippo) are habitat loss and deforestation.
So pleased to be able to get back to my oil paints! This tiger took my attention and is painted on a 50 x 70 cm canvas in oil paint with some cold wax. It was quite a challenge, being a bigger canvas to my usual size, and complicated by my choosing to place the tiger large and central!! Anyway, I loved creating him, and I hope you all like him as much as I do!
