This tiger looked so soft and cuddly and just like he was daydreaming. He has had a great response from social media which is pleasing as it means I must be doing something right! I hope you like him. He’s painted in oils on 40 x 40 cm canvas.
I was so sad to hear that the hippos are becoming an endangered species. This picture is my tribute to these magnificent creatures. It’s oil paint on 50 x 60 cm canvas.
Hippos are being pushed towards extinction by an insatiable demand for their long ivory canine teeth. Unregulated hunting for their meat, skin, and teeth, combined with shrinking habitats and increased hippo-human conflict have lead to a decline in populations across Africa. The primary threat to both hippopotamus species (common hippo and the pygmy hippo) are habitat loss and deforestation.
Another beautiful tiger with different colourings and looking like he’s deciding whether or not to be bothered to move! This one is also painted in oils, on 40 x 40 cm canvas. He’s the last in my latest series of three. I hope you all like him.
